A Question of Faith

Disbelief runs rampant in the minds of people today,
expecting too much from society when feeling gray.
Caught in the middle of a two way street with extremes,
on an island built by childhood's hope-filled dreams.
As others rush by chasing after ghosts from youth,
empty desires which blinds their eyes to the truth.
Seen as something that just can't be possible nowadays,
especially with the lack of hope found along byways.
Where people get lost on their way towards destiny,
stranded without any chance to find some harmony.
Drifting along with the crowd wherever it may lead,
without much hope for another opportunity to succed.
Life's an endless cycle in which there's always reprieve,
if belief in humanity exists about what we may achieve.
Long as one person is wiiling to sacrifice their freedom
then humaity has a chance to witness the new millennium.
