Out of Necessity

Born into a world of chaos where hope doesn't shine,
and darkness makes beauty often difficult to define.
Hidden by shadows in which it waits for true passion,
often left unseen because of hate without any compassion.
Growing as time passes to become someone extreme,
like an antihero who exists within a capricious dream.
Unafraid of the unknown regardless of dangers lurking,
upon legs made strong by continued forward walking.
As past sorrows and failures are left behind forever,
carried by currents from a mighty invisible river.
Through crowded cities where people can 't breathe,
while anger and frustration within the air do seethe.
In need of a guiding spirit to help them find balance,
somebody whose life isn't complicated by compliance.
Not following paths set down by governments unyielding,
whose main purpose is to control populations building.
Until there's no room upon this place we call home,
nor prairies where buffalo are free to live and roam.
We must start to think about generations yet unborn,
or there may not be a future without hate or scorn.
