Playing the Odds

Each new day brings an opportunity to start anew,

given you have the desire inside for adventure true.

Willing to risk your future on something that's obscure,

without visible end upon which success does assure.

Dependent on whether times are right for the moment,

and you're wise enough to know when luck is prevalent.

Roll the dice for a chance at something quite worthwhile,

but beware of dangers hidden by an empty smile.

If mistakes are made then that's just part of survival,

sometimes you'll experience fate cold and cruel.

Simply accept open-minded what comes to occur,

because there'll be times when life also brings pleasure.

Hopefully when it's over good comes of your actions,

and those you've touched are better for the interactions.

So long as belief in yourself remains steady inside,

Nothing can take away the power that does reside.

Deep in a heart burning with passion which grows,

greater each day searching for mysteries to expose.

Answers concerning life hidden within fertile ground,

patiently in wait to be revealed like treasure unbound.
