Flowing throgh green forests upon a rolling landscape,
which gives good reason for people to seek escape.
From the duldrums of existence within cities overcrowded,
where nobody is what they seem behind eyes enshrouded.
Wandering without any purpose for which to guide,
along busy streets where there aren't trees to provide.
Shelter from the sunlight as it shines hot and bright,
burning with an intensity which causes lack of sight.
Winding it's way towards far distant eastern shores,
through valleys home to many creatures in scores.
Part of the natural beauty by which poets are inspired,
in order to create a needed escape when it's required.
As people search for something which eases
despair,
like a vision of perfection surrounded by fresh air.
Where they can go when life bcomes just too miserable,
a place to recharge and make existence more bearable.
