Valiant Heart

Born unto parents struggling against ignorant pride,

Unaware of what did await as they moved on in stride.

Walking towards a future with uncertainty and despair

in search of means by which to provide good care.

So their child might learn and one day become great,

a symbol of strength within a world filled with hate.

Abound by people in need of something not apparent,

blind to possibilities unknown because they're ignorant.

Never taught about the goodness inside every person,

waiting like seeds in need of compassion and reason.

With which to nurture so that it might become strong,

and make a difference in this world where we belong.
